What you should know about Conveyor
What's a conveyor belt?
A conveyor is a machine or device that allows the continuous movement of a product or an isolated load along a pre-determined path. There are several types of conveyors.
Belt conveyor
A belt conveyor or belt conveyors promote product logistics by means of a conveyor belt boosted by a motorisation unit. A belt conveyor can be inclined or horizontal. In addition, the belt or band can be trough or flat, or a combination of both.
Toothed belt conveyor
The notched character of the belt favours a strict and precise transport during the journey, without however fearing the possibility of slipping or deviation as in the case of a smooth belt.
Magnetic conveyor
The magnetic conveyor is a machine equipped with a belt with a magnetic element which, installed at the bottom of the belt, helps to attract metal products or materials downwards, thus giving them more balance.
Magnetic drum conveyors make it easier to distinguish between scrap or metal particles. Mostly used in a foundry to separate metal particles from a sand conveyor after the shredding procedure. (1)
