Transportable swimming pool: definition and use

The transportable pool, more often referred to as an above-ground pool, is a model of removable pool, which you can take with you on holiday for example. A transportable pool has the advantage that it does not require a concrete foundation and can be assembled or disassembled depending on the weather. Especially used in the summer when it is hot, removable pools are widely used all over the world; they can be round, rectangular or oval in shape. Most of today's above-ground pools are sold with a cartridge pool cleaner and an access ladder.

Some are equipped with external metal reinforcements to provide extra strength. There are several types of portable or above-ground pools:

- Contemporary models are most often made of waterproof plastic with a UV-resistant coating.
- Swimming pools with walls made of wood are generally larger and more resistant than those made of plastic, even if their depth is limited to 1.20 - 1.30 metres maximum.
- Inflatable models are particularly practical, as they do not require time-consuming assembly, but they are also the most fragile, and the possibilities for their use remain very moderate.
