What you should know about Crane

Cranes are lifting and loading equipment for heavy objects only. The structure of the lifting device varies according to its destination (on land: construction cranes, truck cranes; on ships; floating docks, etc.) Each crane has a table that clearly defines its lifting capacity in relation to the radius and angle of the boom. The main feature of this construction (site) crane is its long overhang, usually with ropes and pulleys (at the ends of two or four ropes) to suspend the load. The overhang always has at least one (usually a few) degrees of freedom from the ground to allow the load to move in the horizontal plane. The mobile crane has a telescopic jib. Hydraulic cylinders (called jacks) are used to raise (lift) and lower the boom (pull). Another jack or multi-chamber jack can provide telescopic movement. Can be retracted via a plug or cable. This type of equipment is ready for operation quickly after arrival on site. Some cranes can be controlled by radio to improve mobility. These applications are almost infinite: for example, equipment manufacturers such as Palfinger and Hiab have installed jibs and articulated extensions at the end of the jib, called JIBs, allowing carpenters to be on the roof on the opposite side of the road. work.
