Jack struts
A shoring is a site element that provides temporary support or backing during construction such as casting slabs and holding walls in place during renovation.
The term "jacked" refers to the mechanism for lengthening or shortening the strut. It allows quick and easy operation, which avoids the use of third party tools such as hammers and metal bars.
Note that cylinder props are available in two types :
- simple, they are made to resist compression, perfect for the temporary support of floors during casting and the creation of roofs,
- push-pull, in addition to compression, they are resistant to traction. We find them particularly for the construction of formwork walls and other vertical elements.
Theprops are not used alone, you will need forks, whose role is to distribute the loads and ensure that the beams are well supported. Tripods are also required for the perfectly vertical installation of single props.
For push-pull props, you will not have to use a tripod, but be careful not to exceed 45° from the horizontal.
Finally, take care to choose props with the NF EN 1065 standard. It guarantees you a material respecting the safety necessary to avoid any accident.
