What is a submersible pump?
A submersible pump is a device that is used to pump water up through a power supply. Very practical and versatile, it can intervene and be used for many maneuvers in various locations. Discover in this text some of these uses and types.
When can it be used?
Generally placed underwater, the submersible pump is used to raise the water level or to empty all kinds of basins. It can also be very useful when flooding cellars or other enclosed spaces. But the type of water it can drain depends on its characteristics and power. It is therefore important to pay attention to these two parameters when buying your device because a pump that is not adapted to the type of water it has to drain will very quickly break down.
Adequacy between the pump and its use
The power of the submersible pump must correspond to the intensity of the drainage it will be used for. For example, for an aquarium, a low-voltage pump with little autonomy could be sufficient. But, for a flooded cellar or a pond, a more powerful pressure pump will be needed. When it is a question of dirty water to be emptied, it is recommended to use a suction pump.
