What you should know about Up Person / Hoist

A personal lift is a device used to facilitate access to the floors of a house or building. It is a mobile seat intended for people with reduced mobility: elderly or disabled people, thus avoiding the risk of falls. It is also called a lift chair or stairlift. A goods lift can transport people, but also goods. It can be installed in multi-storey houses, for example, or in factories. There are other forms of stair aids: - The walker which consists of a ramp fixed to the wall and a handle on which the user rests. The handle must be lifted in order to go up or down the stairs. - The sliding bar that attaches to a conventional handrail. It allows you to climb up and down in complete safety by holding on to it so that you do not lose your balance. These two variants are less imposing than the stair chair and at the same time allow the user to maintain independence and mobility. They are also less expensive. The lift can be a lift or a lifting platform, for example for people in wheelchairs. (1)
