What you should know about Respiratory Mask
This type of mask has a very specific use. It allows to work in a dusty environment or one that can be toxic for humans. It is therefore essential to protect yourself in the workplace. The mask is part of the safety measures to be taken. Thanks to it, you no longer risk breathing in particles that are harmful to the body, but it also protects you from surrounding viruses in hospital environments. There are several types of breathing masks on the market, with or without filters and valves:
- The FFP1 anti-dust mask: these are disposable or reusable masks that protect the mouth and nose against fine dust. This mask does not protect against toxic particles.
- The FFP2 anti-dust mask: these are disposable or reusable masks that protect the mouth and nose. They are effective against harmful particles, dust and viruses.
- The FFP3 dust mask: these are also disposable or reusable masks. In addition to the basic protection like the FFP2, the FFP3 protect against asbestos, pollen and lead. They have a higher quality threshold than FFP2.
- The surgical mask: this mask is ideal to fight against the coronavirus. It protects against bacteria and viruses present in the atmosphere. They are also disposable or reusable masks that protect the mouth and nose from many airborne diseases.
