What you should know about Grelinette

A grelinette, also known as a biocultivator or biobrush, is a manual gardening tool. It's a kind of large, environmentally friendly digging fork with two handles. This tool is used to work the soil without hurting your back or disturbing biodiversity: aerating the soil, decompacting, weeding or facilitate harvesting. In general, the biocultivator can have up to 5 claws. Its use on the soil varies according to the number of its tines. The 2 or 3 tine biocultivator is used for small areas. With 4 tines, it is used on soft soil and gardening soil. The 5 tine cultivator has a higher weight and is used for large areas. There are several types of grelinette: - the straight-toothed bio-spade is the most resistant model of grelinette and allows to work efficiently on compact soils with a tendency to clay. - the curved tines biocultivator is easy to handle and allows light soils to be worked easily. - the aero-fork is a grelinette made up of a hoop and allows to increase the leverage effect of the tool. - the rotating grelinette is the improved version of the grelinette. Thanks to its helix-shaped teeth, it can work on vegetable and rocky areas. (1) We talk about Garden on our blog section.
