What you should know about Garage license plates
Green garage-type plates are used to move a vehicle that does not yet have its own registration. This is particularly the case when a vehicle has just been sold / purchased. In this case, the vehicle does not yet have an official car plate. The Z plate, also called the garage plate or green plate, allows the vehicle to be moved to a garage to store the vehicle while the administrative procedures are being carried out (going to technical control, taking out insurance, etc.).
