A cable detector is a device for measuring the presence of an electric current inside a wall. It is mainly used to check the possibility of finding or breaking a wall without damaging a home's electrical installation or, on the contrary, to locate electrical areas for drilling. It often takes the form of small boxes to be placed against the wall. Depending on the model, it can detect current through wooden, drywall or concrete walls, as well as through plastic pipes.(1) We talk about Construction Equipment on our blog section.
